Moins adapté à nos besoins actuels (famille avec enfant en bas âge), mais cadre historique exceptionnel. ||Cour intérieure intéressante pour prendre le petit déjeuner le matin ou s'asseoir le soir. Cuisine équipée. Propre et correct, bien localisé près du monument Menin Gate et aussi pour faire des promenades à pieds. Nous avons aimé.

Het Menin Gate House ligt werkelijk op een steenworp afstand van de beroemde Menenpoort. Wij verbleven er met zijn zessen en dat beviel goed. Het huis heeft drie comfortabele slaapkamers, een ruime bakkamer, een fijn woonkamer met keuken. Het is daadwerkelijk een huis waar je je direct thuis voelt. Ideale locatie ook om alle plekken rondom Ieper te bezoeken. Eigenaar Benoit is erg vriendelijk en heeft zeer goede tips over de Westhoek. Het huis is bijna een museum met historische foto's en posters aan de muur. Ook een ideale plek om met vrienden te verblijven in een huiselijke sfeer, maar toch je privacy te hebben op je eigen kamer.

As a family of 5, 3 adult sons, we had an amazing time at Menin Gate Houses. We actually stayed in both as decided to spend another night in Ypres so moved into house 2. Cannot fault the accommodation, the location, and especially Benoit, the host. Our stay coincided with a very difficult time for him, yet he was attentive and provided us with an experience at the Last Post ceremony we will never forget.

This is a unique and wonderful place to stay with a fantastic host. Benoit made us feel very welcome and offered us great advice for our stay. The collection of memorabilia and antiques in the property adds character and was very interesting to see. The property was cosy, spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept really well. The location of this property is also brilliant with the Menin gate being metres away. We will definitely be coming back and staying here! A long weekend that we will never forget.

Benoit, the owner, and chairman of the Last Post Association, is a fantastic host. There are various options with the house. We stayed in the larger house and had the whole house, sleeping up to 8 (3 doubles and a twin). It is nicely decorated and there is a small terrace out the back. The Menin Gate is just over the road. The coach parties drop off and park opposite but it wasn't too disturbing. Easy parking on the road and there are bars, shops and restaurants in walking distance. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay.

Perfectly located and everything in the house is of the highest standard. The historic articles, art and books in the property are unique. Ben was a wonderful host, very knowledgeable of the history of the area and very attentive. So much to see and take in within the town or short drives away. We would definitely come again.

Stayed in the Churchill duplex as a family of 4 in this wonderful house with amazing views of the Menin gate and a great location to wander around Ieper. House was full of history and memoriabilia, as explained by our host Benoit who as chair of the last post association was a mine of information and hints. An excellent host and a unique stay.|Good sized, cool rooms which during a heatwave were welcome as was the private courtyard to relax. Both bedrooms have ensuites also a toilet on the 1st floor. Kitchen generally well equipped. Note there is shared access , via the internal stairs, with the top floor apartment which wasnt an issue for us but maybe for some.
