Just returned from our second visit this year. As always we had a fantastic holiday in this beautiful place. Everything was perfect, the facilities are excellent and Sandra and Ian are the ideal hosts. Already booked in for next year!

We had a wonderful week at Les Petites Cigognes. The gite is well appointed, well equipped and ideally situated for exploring the Loire valley. Supermarket in Descartes had everything we could wish for, but it was fun to visit the local markets for fresh produce too. The pool was well cared for and very welcome after a hot day sightseeing and having fun. Great location for spotting wildlife; on an evening stroll we saw deer in the fields and whilst kayaking (from Descartes) we saw an otter and 3 kingfishers as well as various other birds. The owners, Ian and Sandra, were welcoming, friendly and helpful. They were on hand to advise, which was particularly useful when storms were forecast!
We would definitely recommend Les Petites Cigognes.

We spent a wonderful week in these gites. Our son was getting married locally so I booked the 3 houses in May.
We had an array of people, children, friends and new in laws. Everyone loved each one of the 3 houses of Les Petites Cigognes .
The comfort , cleanliness and facilities were wonderful.
The Swimming pool was big and inviting, there were bikes in the shed for adults and children. We had bar b ques and a huge play area for the children with swings ect. Our wonderful hosts Sandra and Ian were welcoming, friendly, very helpful to us in our pre and post wedding roles.
Ian did Trojan work in giving lifts to and from the venue at a very reasonable rate.
Yes, we will be back, such a restful place. Sandra and Ian work extremely hard and ensure that the standard is maintained.

Lovely comfortable gites, great location just outside Descartes, which in itself is a very pretty little town by the river. Great swimming pool, and hospitality by Ian and Sandra was second to none, thank you both. If you are thinking of a holiday in The Loire, look no further....a little gem!

From the moment you step into the court, one can only feel the peace and serenity at Les Petites Cigognes. Soon after, you will realize that every single aspect of the amenities is up to that initial sentiment. Position to the sun, huge gardens, pool, bedding, barbecue on the terrace.. all is carefully thought-out, high quality and placed with taste and a minimalist but comfortable approach. With that out the way, all there's left for you to do is kick back, and enjoy the grand scenery of an Indre-et-Loire countryside evening.

Surprisingly spacious apartments, which are decorated cosy. Ian and Sandra (the owners) live on site and are more than helpful. Conveniently located so visits to one of the many local chateaux is easy. Recommended.
